PROFESSIONAL SUPPORT EXPERT FOR GLOBAL PRIVACY INFORMATICS SUPPORT

One of the biggest international pharmaceutical companies with HQ in Basel is looking for an Operations Expert for Global Privacy Informatics Support.
This is a challenging contracting position starting in mid - September until the end of the year with extension possibilities.
BACKGROUND OF THE PROJECT:
The Privacy Operations Support Expert UNDERSTANDS THE OVERALL OBJECTIVES OF THE EU GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATION (GDPR) AND DATA PRIVACY. He/she will work closely with the Global Privacy Office, Data Privacy Coordinators, local Data Protection Officers and operational groups throughout the company. This role ensures the timely execution and documentation of process workflows on a global level and supports them on a local or divisional level in order to meet all GDPR compliance targets. THE SUPPORT EXPERT WILL ENSURE ADMINISTRATIVE TASKS IN THE CONTEXT OF PRIVACY OPERATIONS AND COORDINATE BETWEEN ALL STAKEHOLDERS LIKE DIVISIONAL AND LOCAL OPERATIONAL BUSINESS AND IT GROUPS.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support all processes related to General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Data Privacy regulations compliance:
- Support the Global Data Protection Officer (DPO)/Local DPO in the context of a Data Subject Access Request and Data Breach, covering documentation and communication tasks
- Identifies data scope of the request (privacy register data analysis)
- Identifies, contacts and supports business data owners and IT solution owners
- Coordinates data handling processes
- Liaises with original request recipients and internal supporting functions
- Maintains a close collaboration with the DPO Office
- Documents and keeps track of requests according to GDPR requirements
- Ensures correct usage of Data Subject Request and Data Breach Database and maintains the access
- Maintains the Global Privacy Office (GPO) and the Global Data Privacy Informatics Support mailbox and correspondence
YOUR SKILLS/EXPERIENCES ARE:
- 5+ years of experience in a global Matrix organization in a similar position
- Information Technology and Data Privacy understanding/experience
- Microsoft Office and/or Google suite skills
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills
- Fluent in English, German is a plus
