Professional Inventory Analyst

Professional Inventory Analyst Auburn Hills, MI 10 Month Contract

This position is responsible for generating and maintaining inventory forecasts and arrival schedules, generating orders, and overseeing transport issues. This position also generates and maintains metrics on product availability, port shrinkage and PIA supply chain.

OVERVIEW:

- Generate and maintain the Inventory Forecast for PIA items.
- Generate and maintain the Inventory Arrival Schedule for PIA items.
- Provide input and analysis for use in Master Production Planning.
- Generate orders and oversee transport and logistics issues.
- Conduct pricing analysis to ensure suppliers comply with special PIA prices.
- Provide input to Sales Team in terms of inventory excess, obsolescence, or supersession issues.
- Coordinate transport issues to balance port inventories, address stock outages, and support initial product launches.
- Act as liaison between PIA Program, Parts Organization and Brands.
- Generate and maintain metrics on product availability, port shrinkage, and MDO supply chain.
- Ad hoc requests and projects.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelors Degree required, Masters Degree preferred
- Minimum 3-5 years maintaining inventory forecasts and arrival schedules and/or generating orders; preferably in the automotive industry
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with and acute attention to detail and accuracy
- Effectively able to manage multiple tasks with the ability to prioritize and meet timelines
- Works well in a team setting as well as independently
- Requires up to 20% travel
