Production Technician Job

PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in WILMINGTON, DE.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Applies general knowledge of production processes and procedures to provide production support. Assist principal investigator (scientist) in manufacturing of lubrication products in support of business/customer needs as determined by the Performance Lubricants business.
- This position will focus on small lot production of various products.
- The Production Technician will be responsible for inventory, order fulfillment, basic QC testing, production, shipping and documentation. There is some heavy lifting required and the operator will be trained to use a three roll mill.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- An Associate's Degree in Science/Engineering/Mechanical maintenance or equivalent experience.
- Sufficient mechanical skills to assemble and disassemble mechanical test equipment and utilize it to perform experiments to gather required data.
- Knowledge or the desire to learn lubrication science and related measurement technologies.. Ability to develop skills in basic data analysis
- Strong personal computer skills particularly in spreadsheet applications and Microsoft (R) Office products. Ability to develop technical writing skills.
- Ability to self-manage time and resources to get results in the quickest and least costly fashion within limits dictated by maintaining safe operations.
- Ability to conduct work in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.
- Ability to keep accurate records of experimental procedures and data via an Electronic Laboratory Notebook to enable protection of proprietary information and intellectual property
- Knowledge of the safe handling of chemicals, including their storage, mixing, transfer, health hazards.
