Production Support/Tester

Production Support/Tester required for a large organisation based in Dublin for a 6 months contract.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for maintaining, monitoring and running of QA environments to support the SDLC process. Drive the development of standards for scheduling and coding, including testing, validation, promotion verification and monitoring. The person should be results driven and eager to pick up and run with the requirements for batch runs, code promotions and environment support. While this position has no direct people management responsibilities, it does require the ability to interact with business partners both within and external to the team. Develop strategy and execution plans, working closely with technical leadership and multiple teams and individuals at all levels of the organization.

REQUIREMENTS

- In-depth knowledge of Unix/Linux Shell Scripting and command, ETL development tools or support, SQL, Autosys or other scheduling tools, JAVA
- Prior knowledge of production or lower environment support.
- Ability to understand complex applications, processes and systems and explain them at multiple levels
- Ability to clearly articulate high level strategy to project details and communicate effectively, including formal presentations, with all levels of the organization. Develop partnering relationships with others.
- Requires good organizational skills, Ability to stay in control and maintain even handed approach with people while working with continually changing multi tasks in a deadline work environment.
- Work closely with the development teams, management Team, Infrastructure management, and our partners across other technology, business and shared services/Infrastructure groups within the firm.
- Experience with system process design and production support
