Production Support Engineer Job

PRODUCTION SUPPORT ENGINEER needed for an eight (8) month CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Erie, PA.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Investigate factory floor issues regarding fit and function of components andassemblies
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electromechanical issues
- Resolve technical production issues on the factory floor in a timely manner
- Coordinate with design engineering team to resolve issues and prevent future recurrences
- Communicate production status with engineering program managers
- Continuously improve the manufacturability of the product by improving the production methods and influencing the design
- Participate in model reviews with cross functional teams
- The Production Support Engineer will support the fabrication of components and assembly of locomotives in the factory. In this role, you will utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to affect short-term and some long-term production goals.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Recent Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience providing mechanical support in an manufacturing environment
