Production Support Analyst Unix/Linux/Oracle/Shell/Perl Scripting .
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Production Support Analyst to join well established blue chip organisation based at their prestigious offices in Zurich.
As a Production Support analyst you will have
*Experience on UNIX/Linux platform is essential
*Good knowledge of Oracle
*Shell/PERL Scripting experience
*Familiarity with various application architecture, from Client Server to multi-tier web
application architecture handling large scale transactions
As a Production Support analyst you will be based in the Clearing and Settlements Production Services team supporting the Operations global application portfolio. The main target is to reach a system availability, reliability and stability of 99.5 % of the various Settlement systems.
The candidate will provide in depth support for specific applications within the application portfolio in the production environment and will have close contact with the business. It is therefore crucial that the candidate become familiar with the needs and problems of the user community and also be able to understand the application workflows.
As a Production Support Analyst you will be able to develop a broad knowledge and understanding of technology and business related items in order to identify and prioritise issues and their solution.
*Ability to diagnose problems, define and co-ordinate the implementation of solutions individually and with other global group members.
*Have direct contacts with the business users and follow up problems with them to ensure problem resolution and ensure appropriate feedback
*Have the ability to understand the problems as a business user describes them and translate them into the specific technical problem
*Proactively seek out and repair system inconsistencies as well as provide trouble-shooting assistance and solutions for production problems.
*Develop effective lines of communication with all kind of stakeholders
*Develop where needed and implement tools to maintain, monitor and troubleshoot Investment Bank applications and infrastructure, automating where applicable.
*Create and maintain documentation for training, trend analysis and troubleshooting and much more!
