Our client, a financial services firm, in VA is currently looking for a full time, permanent employee to join their team in a production support capacity. Salary is approx 75-90k. No relocation assistance is available. You need experience in troubleshooting or bug fixing, SQL (or similar database), scripting (ideally shell) or development (ideally Java) etc.
The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, upgrading and technical consulting and product development/evaluation for the team. A degree or equivalent experience and work towards advanced studies or degree is preferred. The typical hire has 2-4 years experience minimum. You will be providing on call production support and responsible for developing releases to resolve bug fixes, new requirements etc. Useful technical skills also include DB2, ETL, Sybase, Oracle, Weblogic, Webmethod etc.
