Production Support

Role Responsibilities:

The following are key responsibilities fulfilled by a support analyst in this role
* Point of contact between traders, developers, risk, and QA teams
* Monitoring and alerting of critical trading system environments
* Proactive identification and resolution of problem hotspots
* Development of tools and driving efficiency/stability improvements
* Troubleshooting of complex systems issues
* Release implementation and post-release testing
* Build and maintain strong partnerships with business stakeholders, application development personnel, and infrastructure contacts
* Accurate tracking of support effort to enable effective management reporting
* Late shift from 12 pm to 9 pm CT Monday to Friday

Required Skills:
* UNIX admin and/or scripting (2 years minimum)
* Strong Python or Perl background (minimum 2 years intense usage)
* Strong SQL - debugging Stored Procedures
* Application server experience- Weblogic, JBoss (setting up, integration, J2EE deployment, and managing is strongly desired)
* Experience with hands-on support of trading systems based on a service-oriented architecture (2 years minimum)
* Financial background a plus (Experience working with F/O or M/O in a derivatives trading business, experience working in an investment bank preferred)
