Production Supervisor

Manufacturing client in Duluth, GA is seeking a Production Supervisor to manage shop employees in their facility. This company manufactures paneling and wall systems for their end clients and prefers someone from construction materials manufacturing background that has worked their way up to supervisor. This is a 6 month contract to hire position and client seeks someone who will take "ownership" of the shop floor. Please see below for more detail.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Works with Planners to ensure quality product that is on time for installation projects.
- Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
- Accomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and safety procedures.
- Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards and ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques.

REQUIREMENTS

- 3-10 years Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment; preferably from a construction materials background. Willingness to take ownership of shop floor highly desired to move into a management role
- Experience working with scheduling software such as Suretrack, MS Project or other similar software
- Familiar with MEP software for inventory tracking; Syspro or similar materials resource software.
- Bi-lingual and/or experience in modular wall systems is a nice to have, not a requirement.
