(Production Manager, Project Manager, PRINCE II, Rebrand) 

THE ROLE

To manage the marketing production and delivery aspects of a large-scale rebrand project ensuring its successful delivery within the key constraints of time, cost, quality and risk. The role will require the individual to develop, track and manage a delivery plan that aligns a variety of work streams eg digital development, content review, artwork, quality control etc. into a single view to safeguard the delivery of updated material across a large marketing catalogue that encompasses printed material and digital assets such as websites, video and tools. You will act as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead project teams or work streams. May stabilise at this level for many years.

KEY RESULT AREAS AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

- Understand and clearly document the key deliverables and production tasks critical to success.
- Structure and produce an over-arching production plan that considers the risks, dependencies and constraints of each workstream.
- Ensure that each work stream has an associated production plan which is actively maintained and has the appropriate level of detail.
- Build reports to regularly communicate progress against agreed milestones, tracking dependencies and risks.
- Manage and monitor the production plan for performance on a day to day basis to ensure delivery on time, tracking progress against milestones, budget and to schedule.
- Manage any risks and issues arising ensuring that they are impact-assessed, mitigated and escalated where appropriate.
- Monitors project resource (people, budget and suppliers) in so much as delivery against plan reporting in line with risk, any deficiencies.
- Manage project checkpoints reporting progress to the necessary stakeholders and represent the marketing area at any higher level program meetings.
- Provide guidance and direction to the underlying work streams and actively input into the production plan.
- Build effective working relationships with both contributors and key stakeholders involved with the production plan ensuring communication needs are met and understood.
- Seeks commitment from others by using influence, direction, consultation and facilitation to ensure the successful achievement of agreed milestones and final delivery.
- Ensure that the production plan and its outputs are subject to the appropriate quality assurance, controls and reviews, including post-delivery analysis.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED 

- Educated to degree level.
- In-depth knowledge and demonstrable application of project and programme delivery methodologies preferably with suitable qualification eg Prince II.
- Demonstrable experience of large-scale project delivery, preferably but not essential, experience of marketing or the Financial Services sector
- Has knowledge of the IT delivery life cycle, associated methodologies and their practical application.
- Excellent facilitation and presentation skills.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Resourceful, flexible and responsive to situations and people.
- Ability to work under pressure, short deadlines and extra hours if needed on assignments.
- A self-starter comfortable working alone or as part of a team.
