Production Operative

LOCATION: Masham, North Yorkshire

JOB TITLE: Production Operative (Shifts)

SALARY & BENEFITS: £26,000 - £30,000 + travel allowance + 21 days annual leave

WORKING HOURS: Approx 50 hours per week Monday - Friday (Days / Nights on rotation). Some weekend work available.

THE ROLE: An exciting opportunity has become available for a Production Operative to join an expanding team at one of the UK's leading manufacturers of animal feedstuffs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES TO INCLUDE:

- Ensure products meet predetermined quality parameters
- Keeping machines supplied with packaging materials and labels
- Ensure that all production equipment is operating effectively reporting any faults to your immediate manager
- Ensuring that high levels of hygiene and housekeeping are maintained within all areas of the mill
- Moving packaged items around the warehouse using a forklift truck
- Maintaining appropriate production records

THE CANDIDATE: The ideal candidate for the Production Operative role doesn't necessarily have to have any experience as full training will be provided. You will need to show that you can be flexible and are prepared to work hard in a fast paced environment.

KEY EXPERIENCE ESSENTIAL FOR THE ROLE:

- Good observational skills with an eye for attention to detail highlighting any defects
- Proactive approach to problem solving
- The ability to work quickly to meet production targets
- Good team working skills and also the ability to work on your own
- Comply with all H&S, Quality & Environmental requirements
- Good standards of personal hygiene & a willingness to work flexibly
- Candidates should ideally be PC literate

Candidates holding a current forklift licence are preferred although it's not essential.
