Production Operations Engineer

My client is a large, international oil and gas E&P Company looking for a skilled Production Engineer to join its growing office in Long Beach. This company is currently working both onshore and offshore in the area.

Job Description:

* Improve production of gas, light oil, and heavy oil in the operating wells
* Optimize and stimulate wells to improve production
* Reduce the operating costs of wells
* Familiar with high watercut waterflood operations
* Proficient with ESP and rod pump design
* Use waterflood surveillance tools to monitor field performance
* Experience with tracer surveys and hydraulic fracturing
* Familiar with sand control

Qualifications:

* B.S. in Petroleum Engineering or related Engineering degree
* 5+ years of experience in Production/Operations Engineering
* Experience with artificial lift
* Experience with well stimulation and workovers
* Experience with economic analysis of wells
* Strong communication skills
* Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary group
* Strong problem-solving skills
