Production/Material Planner Job

PRODUCTION/MATERIAL PLANNER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in ROCHESTER, NY.

- Planning knowledge
- Stockroom knowledge

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Primary responsibility is ensuring the timely delivery of material to the production line.
- Expedites material through receiving, inspection and stock, to the line. Works closely with stockroom and VC stock personnel. Ensures kanban bins are set-up appropriately. Monitors shortage list to ensure hot items are delivered quickly. Manages common stock material on FF line.
- Create/print appropriate labels, toe tags, paperwork.
- Put replenishment scans through the system as material is needed on the line.
- Expedite parts with purchasing ensuring they reach the production line in a timely and efficient manner.
- Provide cycle counts of line material as needed. Understand system transactions in order to resolve discrepancies.
- Work with operations to resolve any straggler work order issues.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- High School degree plus two to four (2-4) years of relevant experience or an Associate degree
- Minimum of one (1) years of materials experience
- Minimum of one (1) years of MS Office experience
- Minimum of one (1) years of experience working with internal customers
