Production Line Manager

Good afternoon,

I am currently recruiting for an experienced Production Line Manager to work for a high profile Aerospace client of mine based in Belgium.

Key details of the role are as follows:

Rate: UP TO €50 per hour

Location: Belgium

Start date: ASAP

Client

The client I am recruiting for is a major player in the civil aerospace market. The company is active in the design, manufacture and assembly of large complex structural elements for airplanes and rockets, electro-hydraulic or mechanical servo drives, specific software and electronic components. This is a great time to join a company on the rise as it is trying to expand to meet all the technological, qualitative and commercial challenges that have risen with new projects and an increase in workload.

Role

Manage the assembly line of Airbus A350 structures and allocate the resources required for the activity by integrating quality, safety and cost requirements.

More specifically:

*Ensure the application of the production schedule and the satisfaction of the customer
*Identify the budgets and investments required according to the production requirements and in order to ensure the operational maintenance of the tool
*Disseminate operational information to Team Leaders
*Follow up on procedures and take the necessary measures in case of deviation
*Identify and implement actions to optimise quality, safety and production costs
*Animate SQCTP meetings (Safety, Quality, Cost, Time, Personnel), if necessary with the support of the Team Leaders, and ensure the implementation of related actions
*Establishing weekly production reports
*Ensure contacts with other departments on a day-to-day basis according to operational requirements
*Determine staffing requirements according to the production schedule and participate in recruitment process for new recruits
*Accompany, motivate and stimulate teams
*Manage staff skills and assignments
*Identify the training needs of the production unit in collaboration with the "Team Leaders"
*Evaluate and monitor the performance of the employees of the production unit on a daily basis
*Flexibility according to production requirements

Candidate Profile

*Ability to manage and energise a team
*Ability to manage priorities in a changing environment
*Ability to work in synergy with internal and external clients
*Listening ability and assertive character
*Active knowledge of Word and Excel software
*Knowledge of SAP is a plus.
