Production Geologist

Montash have been exclusively retained by a global leading Operator, to build a new team consisting of some unique hires. These are contract engagements, on a highly complex, Joint Venture project.

My client are undergoing the development of a brand new reservoir modelling software suite internally. And require a Senior Production Geologist/modeller to work in the team taking models from Petrel and re building them in the new application. However, this role also needs you to be capable of operating as a Business Analyst within the project to discuss this work, and help drive forward the success of the application. Alongside having a good understanding of IT.

This is a new programme and one that will ensure longevity in the contract. You will also be exposed to the latest technologies and advancements in visualization and modelling.

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

- Reservoir modelling experience, and experience in building models yourself
- .NET or C++
- You will also need excellent petrel modelling experience,
- experience having worked on products is preferable
- end user experience
- strong experience with modelling packages
- 5 to 10 years experience
