Production Engineer

Huxley Associates is recruiting for an experienced Production Engineer to join ourLancasterbased manufacturing client on an initial 6 month contract. The position has come about due to a high volume of work and as a result we are looking for an experienced engineer who can cover the following: * Responsible for production support and process development along with trouble shooting and problem solving in the Cell. * Working towards improving efficiency within the cell and reducing scrap, you will aim for continuous improvement of the processes involved * Utilise Lean manufacturing techniques to increase flow and robustness of processes The successful candidate will be: * enthusiastic and 'hands on' person * able to encourage involvement of others and have confidence in your abilities in a challenging operational environment * ability to organise work effectively and have strong communication skills, in both verbal and written form * EH&S focused * Broad experience on Process Improvement Tools Working knowledge of CAD preferably AutoCad * Knowledge and ability to write Standard Operating Procedure (work instructions) for processes
