Production Engineer

An independent oil and gas company located in downtown Houston,engaged in the acquisition, exploration, development and production of oil and associated liquids is currently searching for a Production Engineer.

The Production Engineer will handle production engineering assignments of a broad scope and moderate to complex difficulty depending on the incumbent's relative skills and experience. This position is responsible for managing all related production activities to assure that producing properties operate at a maximum economic rate and comply with governmental and contractual requirements.

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, would consider Petroleum, Mechanical, Chemical or Civil Engineering or expected equivalent education and previous production/drilling and completions experience

Minimum of 3+ years progressive oil and gas production/drilling and completions experience required, preferred engineering operations experience in the mid-continent US Basin
* Strong familiarity with rules and regulations of Oil & Gas Commission, rights of way, leases, division orders, pooling, unitization, spacing, etc.
* Fully competent in all conventional aspects of oil & gas exploration and production drilling
* Exemplary interpersonal and written communication, organization, consultative, recordkeeping, analytical and problem-solving skills
* Strong capability for relationship building, including interaction with land, drilling and production staff, State & Federal agencies, mineral and land owners
