Production Billing Analyst

Seeking a qualified professional with proven experience and results to join our Billing team as an Analyst. The Production Billing function is responsible for creating and managing retail electricity invoices for customers throughout North America. Within the team, the Production Billing analyst is responsible for creating retail electricity invoices by prioritizing, analysing, and resolving system generated work queues within the Billing application, analysing and resolving issues within the unbilled reports, resolving invoice processing errors, and providing customer level support.

DUTIES:

- Review, analyze and resolve open work queues to enable accurate and timely invoicing of customers.
- Provide customer level support by researching and responding to customer inquiries.
- Review, analyze, and resolve unbilled cycles, including working with other functional groups as needed.
- Identify billing discrepancies and take necessary actions to resolve.
- Ensure that all Sarbanes-Oxley ( SOX ) Key Controls and other company policies are followed
- Communicate potential issues and impacts with team and management.

SKILLS:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of work experience and/or education

- Strong computer background/experience, including Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills required and Access skills strongly preferred)
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, with internal and external parties is required.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Customer service orientation, serving internal and external clients.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Capable of working independently and taking ownership of the Billing function.
