I have a great new opportunity working for a leading financial company based in the city. My client is looking for a strong Product support assistant to work within Hosting and data services of the business development technology department. You will be responsible for supporting and assisting in the management of a portfolio of products managed by the Business Development team. You will also be responsible for the successful on boarding of clients to various connectivity platforms.

KEY DUTIES:

- Work within a team to co-ordinate the physical installation of customer (internal and external) equipment and assist their service readiness in the Exchange co-location facility
- Liaise with internal support teams, manage suppliers, and provide technical and practical advice customers to ensure customers can install and connect as quickly as possible to the groups and other supported markets.
- Maintain customer communications during the installation process and ensure all customers are aware of their required activities, as well as advising on important implementation and delivery policies.
- Use gained experience to review and feedback to customers any restrictions or issues with their planned installation. Prepare detail schedule of works for the technical resource to complete the activities correctly and in a timely manner and be available for any questions that are raised by the technical team during the completion of planned works in the change window.
- Ensure the Hosting service has sufficient processes in place to manage any live service issues that may arise. The processes should be communicated well to all relevant internal and external parties and maintained.
- Support day to day enquires from existing customers using the Exchange Hosting service, completing added value services in a timely and effective manner
- Promote other group services to increase overall service revenue
- Seek feedback from customers and discuss opportunities with the wider group to see if new services or general service improvements can be introduced

- Excellent written and oral communication and inter personal skills
- Flexible mindset to work in a challenging and rapidly changing business environment
- Project management skills (complex and ideally multi-country and/or cross-regional)
- Exhibit entrepreneurial thinking and acting at all times, taking ownership for instigating and executing initiatives.
- An analytical and process driven individual and must be highly organized with a structured work ethic
- Team player with a proactive, innovative mindset, and a professional attitude ready to take on further tasks on a regional or global level
- Able to make decisions, influence and drive others and work in co-operative manner and find resolutions to potential conflict
- Able to interact with people from different businesses and disciplines acting consistently throughout the organisation.
- Passionate about problem solving business problems with technology
- Intermediate to excellent MS Office excel, Powerpoint and word skills
- Has high level knowledge of the dynamics of how a Data Centre operates, including cooling and power delivery characteristics and physical communication infrastructure
- Has a basic knowledge of how and network operates including IP Addressing, VLANs, in additional to the physical media used and termination presentation
- Has experience planning, installation and configuring installations in a data centre supporting financial services organisations
- Has knowledge of the Groups trading system functionality and the trading benefits of the Groups and other supported markets
