Product Specialist/Business Analyst - Zurich Switzerland

Our client in the finance industry seeks a Product Specialist/Business Analyst to assist in the enhancement and implementation of global product classification standards across the organisation, both for financial instruments and banking products.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Leverage your product knowhow by contributing to the integration of additional product categories into the Global Product Inventory.
- Analyse and monitor product changes as well as product suitability driven data requests.
- You will be responsible for the coordination and implementation ofresulting product data enhancements and necessary data quality controls.
- Analyse and specify business requirements regarding instrument and product classification data
- Coordinate and implement requirements with operations and IT and oversee deliverables while seeking opportunities to improve operational performance and infrastructure
- Maintenance of reference data
- Consulting role regarding the implementation of global product standards
- Act as a reliable partner to other business units and/or international locations
- Sparring partner of other internal departments for product classification matters
- Support function during request cycles in relation to the global product offering of

REQUIREMENTS

- University degree/professional school (FH) in Economics, Finance etc
- Minimum of 3 years experience within the financial services industry, ideally in a product related position within a large organisation
- A profound knowledge of financial instruments, financial markets and banking services regulation
- Previous experience in the area of banking products, investment products or wealth planning solutions preferred
- Project & process management experience preferred
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, ability to mediate between different parties in an interdisciplinary environment
- Ability to see the big picture in combination with attention to detail and high quality standards
- Advanced user in MS Excel/Access
- Experience in data analysis/mining and/or reference data management is a plus
- English is a must (German and any other languages are a plus)
