Product Quality Engineer

Reporting to the Product Quality Lead, Product Quality Engineers are responsible for ensuring compliance by production personnel to all quality requirements throughout the product build and test process. To perform quality control checks in line with current documentation, purchase order and build/test requirements, inspection and approval of refurbishment of Fabrication/Welding, Mechanical, Electrical / Electronic equipment within the warehouse and manufacturing facility. Assist with training and mentoring of technicians in the completion of quality documentation, be proactive in the development of the production department and support departments to enhance the capability of the plant to support the business requirements. Perform general duties within the plant environment to assist manufacturing activities. To carry out any other requirements needed to allow the company to operate efficiently.

Responsibilities & Tasks:
-Lead and coordinate quality reviews
-Conduct and report on product audits
-Conduct root cause analysis through quality notification process where required
-Verification of in process inspections
-Conduct checks in accordance with ITP requirements for competent personnel, test equipment suitability and verification of test results
-Documentation spot checks
-Verification of production documentation completeness and correctness and Certificate of Conformity sign off
-First Article Inspection management
-Operator licence spot checks for validity and operator scope of approval
-Random inspections of build and test equipment for correct calibration status
-Ensuring procedure awareness, availability and compliance
-The timely reporting of issues relating to noncompliance to procedure or process
-The management, reporting and resolution of Product Quality Notifications (PQNs)
-Promoting a culture of quality and compliance
-To ensure compliance to project specific quality plans
-To work at all times to the Companys Quality Management System
-To verify all applicable activities identified within the department work packs and purchase orders have been satisfactorily completed
