OUR CLIENT IS LOOKING FOR A PRODUCT OWNER WITH DATA MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE:

In the development towards a Next Generation Digital Banking Platform, the client is renewing its data management capabilities worldwide. As part of the Unite program for the Dutch and Belgian organizations, the Tribe Data Management realizes an integrated data management platform, the "data lake": this is an ambitious implementation based on leading technology in which the client is at the forefront. Good management of this data management platform is in the first place. Together with data owners and data stewards in the organization, they ensure that the data is precisely defined and that the data is easily interchangeable through the use of the same banking concepts in all international parts of the bank. They ensure that data quality is continuously measured and improved and that data management complies with laws and regulations, such as privacy and risk management. From the central data lake we provide all users with the data they need, which are Finance, Risk, Analytics and the Group.

You will be joining the Tribe Data Management. The cross-border building block of it plays a central role for all Tribes in the Netherlands and Belgium and for the exchange of data with the Group. This means that from your position you have a lot of contact with colleagues in the Netherlands and Belgium. For the cross border Tribe Data Management we are looking for an enthusiastic Product owner with knowledge and experience in data management & Analytical skills that ensures that the data lake optimally meets the requirements and terminology of the business.

This is what you will do:

- Together with stakeholders in the business (data stewards, data users) you determine the meaning of data by defining business terms.
- You determine the information needs of data users for the delivery of data from the data lake.
- You draw up conceptual, logical and dimensional data models and you are a sparring partner for IT specialists for the translation of these models into physical data models.
- You determine the requirements for data quality, data privacy and other relevant aspects together with the business stakeholders.
- You record the models and data definitions in the data dictionary and you maintain them as part of meta-data management.
- You review drafted data models and you monitor their consistency and quality.
- You coach and coach others in the field of data management, such as data stewards in the business domains, and you stimulate the organization to become "data minded". You facilitate workshops with data stewards, data users, analysts and engineers.
- You initiate improvements in the area of data management and you support the organization of data management and data governance processes in the organization.
- In the role of product owner:

o Prioritize the backlog, among other things by preparing roadmaps, coordination in the "market place" and stakeholder management to suppliers of data (data owners, data stewards) and users of data (data users).

o You guarantee the operational operation of the configuration items managed by the squad by establishing and prioritizing the operational requirements and by organizing the operational management tasks in consultation with the squad.

o Take continuous initiatives to improve the working method and cooperation in your team (s). You regularly consult with the Agile coach and (IT) Chapter Leads and where necessary with others, such as fellow product owners and the IT Area Lead.

Requested profile:

- Knowledge of and experience with Datamodelling techniques and with drawing up conceptual, logical and dimensional data models and guaranteeing their mutual coherence.
- Experience with drafting and tuning definitions for business terms.
- Experience as a product owner or as a scrum master.
- Conceptually and analytically strong to make the right modelling choices.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, to be able to coordinate with various stakeholders.
- Excellent command of both Dutch and English in word and writing to define business terms in both languages.
- Enthusiastic personality, who brings pleasure and connection and has an affinity with Agile working in multidisciplinary teams. Culture carrier of the "ING Orange Code".
- Completed HBO/WO education.
