JOB DESCRIPTION

My client is seeking a Product Owner to join their Site Reliability team, who will work alongside Engineers learning and using the latest technologies. It will be your responsibility to set out technical roadmaps and seek out the most effective tools for current and future projects.

The company is a young and vibrant FinTech start-up based in Amsterdam, which uses a Java Microservices stack deployed in Containers and Kubernetes. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of management with a strong technical background, who is happy to have a leadership role whilst still being hands-on with technology where necessary.

KEY SKILLS

- Proven track record as a Product Owner, Lead Engineer, Manager or similar relevant role
- At least 5 years' experience in Software Engineering
- Experience working in a Microservices environment
- Preferable knowledge of Kubernetes, Cassandra and/or Kafka
- Experience with migrations to public cloud is a plus
- Excellent command of English, and strong leadership and communication skills
- Bachelors and/or Master's degree in Computer Science or a relevant discipline
- A good knowledge of design and resilience patterns
- Familiar with Continuous Integration tools (eg GIT, Maven, Nexus, Jenkins)
- Experience in Site Reliability and Security is a plus
