PRODUCT MANAGER - RETAIL BANKING PROPOSITIONS TOM - MANCHESTER

Our client is launching a new retail bank that will offer full personal, private and corporate banking services. We have a number of interim contract roles for product Managers who can assist with product propositions and initiatives. The core element of the role will involve supporting the planning, development, delivery and monitoring of products and propositions; ensuring that the product offering facilitates the acquisition and deepening of customer relationships and broader strategic business aims.

The successful candidate will have: 
A proven track record in Retail Banking Product Management (including products that include complex, multi department operational support);
An appreciation of the regulatory and compliance requirements; 
A good understanding of existing retail banking product sets; and strong stakeholder and communication skills.
Some previous experience of development a Product Management Target Operating Model as well as supporting processes and training would be ideal.

The core duties and responsibilities of the role include:
Contributing to product and pricing strategies and the design and development of these;
Continually assessing the performance of the product range, the regulatory landscape and external market trends and developments to ensure we make the customer proposition as effective as possible; Contributing recommendations across the products supported including innovations, improvements and interventions;
Maintaining the compliance of our product range; developing effective and collaborative working relationships with key business/functional stakeholders and colleagues;
Acting as a point of reference/SME for the specific products supported, based on a deep understanding of customer needs and market trends and developments in these areas;
Supporting the end to end customer journey by engaging with the data and insights gathered about our customers, to make suggestions as to how changes to process or product could improve performance and better meet customer needs; and working closely with Marketing colleagues on the strategies and plans for the marketing of products you support.
