My Client is seeking an Airline Product Manager to cover a 3 Month period of absence by the Permanent member of staff.
You will be responsible for managing the life cycle of an airline IT toolset used for crew scheduling and operations of + 100 aircrafts, 800 crew members across several airlines. You must ensure its reliability and work on the enhancement of its use by improving functionality, service quality and operational efficiency.
YOUR CHALLENGE?
* Sustain the airline's use of the toolset and intervene when problems occur to maintain the overall customer satisfaction. You will closely liaise with expert users and local business support roles in the airlines and provide expertise and advice on best practice to the field.
* You will investigate, specify and manage further data integration with other applications and work closely with the IT teams.
WHAT DOES THE CLIENT EXPECT OF YOU?
* Broad computer knowledge with experience in and good understanding of business critical operational IT systems and application management relating to the aviation sector
* You have in depth knowledge and practical experience with crew management/scheduling processes and systems as well as overall airline operation (eg IATA messaging, document management).
* Very strong communication skills. You are able to communicate in English on all levels and are able to adapt to different cultures. You are a diplomatic and tactful person with the ability to establish rapport and hold people accountable to tasks
* You have strong analytical skills. You easily break down business requirements and problems, application incidents and projects etc. into the different components and know to separate main issues from the side issues.
* You have hands on experience with structured testing methods. Testing Certification (ISEB or ISTQB) is a plus.
* You work in a structured and efficient way. You are well organized, know how to set clear objectives and are persistent in achieving the results as aligned with business goals.
* You are a good team player who knows how to cooperate with others to achieve the targets.
