Product Manager

Knowledge & Experience

Preferred education/qualifications:

- Education at University degree level in the areas of Engineering/Technology/IT with Business/

Commercial components

- Preferably additional qualifications in the form of MBA/Business or relevant courses/certification

Knowledge & Experience:

- Must be able to act effective on all levels in the organization on both the commercial/business side as on the technical and engineering side as linking pin between business and technical platform and software delivery teams
- 5+ years of experience in the entertainment/content/TV/media arena - preferred is with a strong emphasis on software product development & management (in such areas as/digital TV, VoD, OTT/Mobile or Media, design and execution of UI/UX, software and/or agile development of innovative product propositions)
- Track record as product owner of large scale agile software development product developments
- Proven track record in customer centricity and data driven, customer-focused product development
- Experience with working in Matrix organisations combining centralised corporate product/

marketing functions with local affiliate territory marketing & sales operations

- Ideally first-hand experience of both types of environments (central/local) within European market(s)
- Passionate about providing best-in-class digital innovation that delights customers whilst excelling in quality, simplicity and ease-of-use

Skills & Abilities:

- Fluent spoken and written English, ideally other European languages as well
- Confident and credible influencer, able to command respect
- Team player, skilled in maintaining close ties with other stakeholders whilst delivering results
- Ability to bring clarity to ambiguous situations and to act decisively
- Stress-resistant, able to handle the pace and time pressure that comes with fulfilling a product development role in a multi-country, prominently externally visible company like Liberty Global
- Strong communications, negotiation and interpersonal skills to broadly influence and effectively forge partnerships (both internally and externally)
- Ability to be supportive, consultative and collaborative and to work effectively across national boundaries
- A technical aptitude to understand product features and functions and be a credible counterpart to other Technology & Innovation employees
- Capable of deputising for his/her manager and representing the team at divisional, European and global (senior) management level or towards business partners and other external parties where applicable or necessary
