Major Health Care Provider is seeking an energetic and experienced Digital Product Manager who will evolve the .org Mobile Messaging products (including SMS Text Messaging and Push Notifications via mobile device) through successive stages of conception, definition, development, launch and post-release. These features allow our .org users who opt-in to receive important medical reminders (eg new test results available, appointment reminders, prescriptions are ready to be picked up) via a mobile device of their choosing, while ensuring the security of their personal health information.
This position would oversee the creation and implementation of the Mobile Messaging product offerings by defining and implementing a strategy, roadmap, and backlog for the Mobile Messaging capabilities; 2) defining requirement and implementing the messaging infrastructure; 3) engaging with our regional partners to define and implement a rollout strategy; and 4) defining requirements and implementing.org profile and preference updates to support Mobile Messaging.
This position falls within the industry leading .org Digital Identity Services program and is part of client's Internet Services Group. The Digital Identity Services team provides software products and services for our .org Consumer and Business users that allow them access to their health, insurance, and account information via web and mobile channels in a manner that is secure, convenient and cost effective.
The department is a highly collaborative work environment. Success in this position requires the ability to effectively communicate and build consensus across a broad range of business partners and strengthen an already high performing team. Our development methodology is Agile.
The key responsibilities of this position are to:
- Understand the needs of our members, customers and internal business partners,
- Design web and mobile solutions for customers by using key inputs from business owners, consumers, broader enterprise strategy, operations, infrastructure and the online/digital industry,
- Research industry trends and best practices in the area of mobile, communications via mobile messaging, preference management, messaging infrastructure, and online account security.
- Be the subject-matter expert for assigned products,
- Create a product vision and strategy to ensure alignment with overall Product Development and Organizational direction and present to product leadership,
- Develop business cases, product plans, and secure funding,
- Elicit requirements, write clear user stories, and prioritize the product backlog,
- Collaborate with creative service partners in usability testing and the development of the user design,
- Provide direction and support to development and quality assurance teams by assuming the Product Owner role using the Agile development methodology,
- Provide project oversight throughout delivery,
- Assist customer support teams, and develop and implement trainings and communications that allow partners and internal clients to better understand the products.
Pre-requisites:
- Bachelor's degree required, masters degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years digital product management or development experience
- Mobile product management experience required
- Strong business analysis skills and communications skills required
- Identity management and online security experience a plus
- Healthcare industry experience a plus
- Experience in an Agile or SCRUM development environment a strong plus
- Microsoft office experience (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio)
Current phase/overall scope/purpose of the project:
This is a multi-phased project and we are currently in the development of Phase I. Successive phases will be needed that will carry over into 2014 and beyond as we implement more types of mobile alerts.
