Description:

My client is looking for a Product Engineer to undertake new product introduction (NPI) and product sustain activities across our range of mixed signal cable modem products. The candidate will work closely with Test Development/Product engineer(s) to ensure that appropriate test solutions are developed, validated and monitored to enable an effective, high quality, production capability. Your responsibilities will include but not be restricted to:

- Correlation and approval of new tester and subcontractor sites
- Performing small lot testing for correlation and qualification activities
- Liaison with test subcontractors to ensure effective setup of ATE and associated multisite handlers and probers
- Transfer and verification of test hardware and software at offshore test subcontractors
- Conducting yield and rate monitoring and improvement exercises on current production
- Disposition of production lots, including root cause analysis of unexpected yield variances

In this role it is expected that the candidate will be required to travel to production site in China for multiple and occasionally extended periods. In order to satisfy the role requirements the candidate will need to be flexible in terms of work activities and work location, self sufficient and have good written and verbal communication skills.
Qualifications
The candidate should possess a degree in Electronic engineering or similar with 3-5 years relevant industry experience.

Additional qualifications include:

- Experienced product engineering activities on of mixed signal Teradyne ATE platforms or similar
- Experienced with operation and basic programming/debug knowledge on Teradyne Flex ATE platforms
- Experience in the use of IC ATE test systems, handlers and probers for high volume IC test
- Appreciation of IC fabrication/processing
- Proficient in the use of data analysis tools for IC characterisation (SEDana, Excel etc)
- Proficient in the use of capability analysis (CpK)
