Product Engineer (m/f)

IHRE AUFGABEN:

-Be responsible for the technical concept, technical feasibility and customer specification fulfilment of a new product
-Authorize the necessary releases during the development process
-Be the program representative in D&D department as well as the D&D representative in the program
-Ensure the product's development and definition according to customer specifications, regulations and within the QCD framework of the program
-Define and manage the detailed D&D time schedule and budget of the program and take necessary corrective actions where necessary
-Be responsible for completion of all work packages related to product definition while respecting time and budget constraints for these work packages and therefore manage all necessary D&D resources (CAD, test engineer, experts etc.)
-Define sub-components and raw materials specifications and participate in supplier choice
-Lead and regularly update product FMEA, design for manufacturing as well as value analysis studies, design validation plans (simulations, lab tests, customer tests etc.), product documentation definition and follow up (especially Bill Of Material and Drawings), product history etc.
-Manage realisation and validation of mock-ups and prototypes
-Manage necessary changes in product definition in coordination with customer, suppliers, project team and plant
-Participate and support all project team activities, e.g. project reviews, process and equipment FMEAs, supplier selections, PPAP, corrective action plans etc.
-Respect strict confidentiality and relevant procedures and standards within the program

IHRE QUALIFIKATIONEN:

-Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification
-Experience in an industrial environment (ideally in the automotive industry)
-Project experience including knowledge of Project Management processes, standards and tools
-Product oriented with an innovative mindset and ability to identify new opportunities
-Strong written and oral communication skills
-English and German language skills required
-Good computer skills (MS Office), CAD software knowledge (CATIA) is a plus
-Ability for team work
