A Product Development manager is required to join a leading Payments company based in London on a contract to permanent basis. You will have good experience of working within a Loyalty or Incentive Scheme environment within Payments.

The overall purpose of this role is to lead and own products and aspects of the overall proposition such as POS (Point of Sale), Loyalty and other road map areas. This product development sits as part of a bigger product development programme of work. Manage key stakeholders from the project team (eg Product, Customer Experience, Operations, Technology, Marketing and Sales) to define optimal business solutions, and underlying detail, that the AP product must follow in order to be successful in the market.

Think 'outside the box' when considering the customer's view of the product under development and work with internal and external stakeholders in identifying, resolving and managing key product questions that improve the overall proposition and customer experience.

Skills and experience required (key capabilities and years of experience)

* Experience of Product Development/Management within a Loyalty/Incentive Scheme environment
* Experience of Product Development/Management from at least one of the following point of view: Acquirer/Merchant/Card Scheme
* Experience of having worked in a Product Manager style role in Customer experience focused projects
* Experience of payments (at least one of: Cards, Corporate Payments, PoS, E-commerce, Mobile, e/m-Wallets)
* Experience in stakeholder management and alignment
* Negotiation skills
* Experience in defining and assessment markets, their segments, the needs of different segments and in articulating strategies to execute effectively to capture these markets/segments
* Experience of writing product documentation, such as Customer Journeys, Feature Definitions, Product Implementation Guidelines
* In depth experience of stakeholder testing and designing business solutions to overcome key stumbling blocks (business, technical, and stakeholder conflicts)
* Conversant and understanding of Customer Experience (including rudimentary wireframes/screen designs)
* Quick to recognise constraints/challenges of design in order to document and recommend business solutions that address constraints/challenges
* Thorough knowledge of the product life cycle
* Ability to create order and clarity from chaos
* Able to work with and define structured approaches
* Good document writing skills
* Delivery focused, quality centric and strong organisational skills
* Ability to motivate others and lead them to produce output (eg balancing views, opinions, co-ordinating workshops, managing inputs, owning the final deliverables, etc)
* Self motivated and able to motivate others with a 'can do' attitude
* Excellent verbal and written skills
* Able to prioritise and drive others to do likewise
* Proficient in using MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Visio)
* Experience in working with design studio to agree design fit to Customer Journey
* Experience of having worked in an entrepreneurial organisation
* Experience of Agile is desirable

Working with cross functional teams to lead the development of core aspects of an innovative and cutting edge mobile payments proposition. Including but not limited to:

* Market appraisal - addressable market, needs assessment, approach to market, constraints
* Customer insight - needs assessment, segmentation, target market identification
* Product design - user experience, user journeys, wireframe development, feature definition
* Pricing assessment and input
* Support of business development through internal and external engagements
* Support of implementation
* Driving development and delivery through a pure agile process
