Product Development Manager (Payments)

I have an excellent contract opportunity for a leading Financial Services client looking for an experienced Product Development Manager ideally with recent payments sector experience. This is an excellent opportunity to work on an exciting new payments product in the market.

Job Title: Product Development Manager (Payments)
Duration: 3 months rolling

Skills & Experience Required
Experience of Point of Sales systems from at least one of the following point of view: Acquirer/Merchant/Card Scheme
Experience of having worked in a Product Manager style role in Customer Experience focused projects
Experience of payments (at least one of: Cards, Corporate Payments, PoS, E-commerce, Mobile, e/m-Wallets

Accountabilities
Analyse, assess and recommend target markets that would benefit most from the product in development
As part of market assessment, define which market segments would have critical constraints in adopting the proposition and outline strategies to address these segments
b) Define the product that will be taken to market:
Define Customer Journeys, including commissioning and authorising screens that depict the journey, flows that describe the journey, and documentation that details the journey
Define features that support the Customer Journey, following the same output as for the Customer Journey itself
Obtain internal stakeholder buy-in to the product defined and closing constraints
Understand and work around constraints and regulation that could impact the product in development

Skills & Experience Required
Experience in stakeholder management and alignment
Negotiation skills
Experience in defining and assessment markets, their segments, the needs of different segments and in articulating strategies to execute effectively to capture these markets/segments
Experience of writing product documentation, such as Customer Journeys, Feature Definitions, Product Implementation Guidelines
