PRODUCT - PAYMENTS - CARD - MERCHANT - ACQUIRER - E/M-WALLETS

A market leading payments company requires a Product Development Manager on a contract basis to be based in either their Blackfriars, London or North Yorkshire office.

The overall role purpose is to lead and own products and aspects of the overall proposition such as POS (Point of Sale), Loyalty and other roadmap areas. Manage key stakeholders from the project team (eg Product, Customer Experience, Operations, Technology, Marketing and Sales) to define optimal business solutions, and underlying detail, that the AP product must follow in order to be successful in the market. Think 'outside the box' when considering the customer's view of the product under development and work with internal and external stakeholders in identifying, resolving and managing key product questions that improve the overall proposition and customer experience.

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

* Experience of Product Development/Management from at least one of the following point of view: Acquirer/Merchant/Card Scheme
* Experience of having worked in a Product Manager style role in Customer Experience focused projects
* Experience of payments (at least one of: Cards, Corporate Payments, PoS, E-commerce, Mobile, e/m-Wallets)
* Experience in stakeholder management and alignment
* Negotiation skills
* Experience in defining and assessment markets, their segments, the needs of different segments and in articulating strategies to execute effectively to capture these markets/segments
* Experience of writing product documentation, such as Customer Journeys, Feature Definitions, Product Implementation Guidelines
* In depth experience of stakeholder testing and designing business solutions to overcome key stumbling blocks (business, technical, and stakeholder conflicts)
* Conversant and understanding of Customer Experience (including rudimentary wireframes/screen designs)
* Quick to recognise constraints/challenges of design in order to document and recommend business solutions that address constraints/challenges
* Thorough knowledge of the product life cycle
* Ability to create order and clarity from chaos
