Product Development Manager

Financial Service company in the Payments sector are currently recruiting for a Product Development Manager to lead a team of product development managers and business solutions designers to specify in detail the products, customer journeys and related elements, and to support delivery of a very exciting major new innovation in retail payments. As part of this £mm investment programme, working closely with colleagues in Technology, Operations, Marketing, Programme Management, Sales and other functions to establish this new service.

Skills & Experience Required

- 10+ years of product development and/or product management experience
- Proven experience of leading large diverse and cross-functional teams (>10 team members) across multiple locations
- Project management skills, including identification and management of risks and issues
- Strong customer, vendor and internal stakeholder management, influencing and negotiation.
- Recognised payments industry expertise and experience, including but not limited to card payments and mobile payments
- Knowledge of e- and M-commerce
- Retail payments fraud and risk management appreciation
- Experience of working with/within large corporates as well as entrepreneurial start-ups
- Literate in multiple functions, able to engage constructively with colleagues in marketing, finance, technology, operations, sales, etc.
- Strong business architecture and requirements definition experience and skills, covering aspects such as customer experience, use cases, etc.
- Experience of Agile development methodologies
- Experience of developing P proven experience of converting opportunities to revenue delivery
- Demonstrable experience in the successful launch of new products, and subsequent transition into Business As Usual
- Highly effective user of MS Office tools
