Product Designer

PRODUCT DESIGNER REDMOND, WA 12 MONTH CONTRACT

Our client is the Northwest's most renowned software company seeking a Designer with strong visual skills, PowerPoint proficiency, Illustrator and Photoshop experience to meet ongoing visual design and asset production needs. Any motion, prototyping, and hand-drawn storyboarding experience would be a plus.

This candidate will be responsible for refining user interfaces for web, software, and/or hardware products, creating style guides and redlines, designing, mock ups, task analysis, user flows, wireframes, style guides, navigational structures, and affinity diagrams, generating design ideas, presenting and selling designs to product group, acting as consultant to other team leads and may manage external production and design resources.

DAY-TO-DAY TASKS: Visual design and asset production, redlines, and light interaction flows.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- 5 plus years related industry experience required
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a lead role
- Fluency with standard design software tools including PPT, Photoshop, and Illustrator required
- Strong visual design and production skill set
- Motion, prototyping, and hand-drawn storyboarding experience a plus
- Mobile/tablet design experience a plus
- Strong knowledge of user interface and functionality design required
- Strong creative skills and ability to generate design ideas required
- Advanced experience in creating and implementing usability studies, personas, user flows, wireframes, style guides, navigational structures, and affinity diagrams required
- Advanced knowledge of web technologies (ie HTML and CSS)
- Advanced interaction design and web technology skills (ie Flash) may be required
- Strong knowledge or experience with database served websites
- Experience working with rich client or web applications preferred
- Must have the ability to understand and integrate customer needs and motivations into specific areas of product design to contribute to user features and functionality
- Must be familiar with industry standards and trends
- Strong communication skills as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team required
- Must have ability to own and drive projects
- Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
