Product Database Manager

POSITION OVERVIEW >

We have an exciting opportunity for a Product Data Manager to join our team.  In this role you will be defining the product data architecture as the central resource for, process, data integrity, data exchange between ERP and Front Office sales and support services systems, system efficiency for users/suppliers/buyers that interact with our products.   

This position will identify the data flows (inputs, outputs, processes, owners, and impacted users) and build an internal business case for implementing productivity improvements and incorporate acknowledged best practice.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES >

As a PRODUCT DATABASE MANAGER your responsibilities will include:

>        Develop, design and implement strategic solutions for the management of product data within the Operations Department.

>        Liaise with key stakeholders throughout the organisation to ensure data is stored in a correct manner and provides necessary outputs as determined by stakeholder requirements.

>        Defining the product data management process from start to finish

>        Administration of commercial supplier product data, service solution data and internal part code information

>        Data quality management of all product related data used by various business functions

>        Development and maintenance of business processes associated with product data requirements, approval, assignment and usage

>        Reporting and analysis of product data utilisation within sales, marketing, service, consulting and finance business functions

>        Develop strong working relationships with departments who rely on product catalogue for reporting purposes, and ensuring that data accurately represents work of key departments

>        Take lead within Operations Department for ensuring best practice with regards working with product data

EXPERIENCE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS >

As a PRODUCT DATABASE MANAGER your skills and qualifications will include:

>        Educated to BA/BS level

>        Extensive experience with complex electronic systems manufacturing organization

>        Strong experience of database administrative functions, and with business workflow mappings, template setups, item master and security is strongly desirable

>        Direct experience with product life cycle and complex Bill of Materials (BOM) structure and management

>        Strong experience with setting up criteria to meet business needs for item master and workflow

>        Strong experience with the business process and data model for ERP systems, ideally MS Dynamics, or PeopleSoft

>        Proficient with Microsoft office applications

>        Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, proficient in English language

>        This position requires interface throughout all levels and functions of the organisation.

>        Requires a cooperative team-balanced perspective for tasks and projects outcome

>        The ideal candidate is analytic, detail-oriented, with great quantitative analysis skills, is self -motivated, able to pro-actively communicate with employees and work well in a fast pace
