Summary

The Trader Control function has responsibility for Ledger Integrity controls, Trader Level P&L reporting and Balance Sheet Control for the CIB businesses including Credit, Asset Backed Products, Rates, Currencies, ROR and Capital Resolution. Its product range includes Bonds, Repos, Loans, Deposits, Futures, Asset Backed Securities and FX, Credit and Interest Rate Derivatives. Key interaction will be with Front Office traders and also involve strong collaboration with colleagues in TMG Transaction Control as well as Business Control, IPV & Reserving and Business Finance Support.

Primary areas of responsibility include:
* T+1 Ledger representation of P&L and Balance Sheet
* P&L Attribution Review
* Flash to Actual Trader Reporting
* Trader P&L Sign Off
* Trader Query Resolution
* Balance Sheet Substantiation and Attestation
This role has responsibility for Trader Level P&L Reporting and Balance Sheet Control covering Flow Rates, Repo and DCM.

Specific Responsibilities for the role include:
* Accurate and timely daily P&L production and analysis for Prime Services and Currencies businesses as well as resolving any queries and issues.
* Daily review and substantiation of P&L attribution for the businesses.
* Working with Front Office Traders to achieve timely sign-off of the T+1 ledger on a daily basis, ensuring issues are deal with promptly.
* Drive through improvements to processes based on standardisation and best practice
* Provide support for Trader Control project work where required
* Collaboration with an extended team In Poland covering the Flow Rates, Repo and DCM businesses
* Establishing and maintaining appropriate controls to facilitate accurate P&L reporting.
* Month End Balance Sheet substantiation.
* Appropriate escalation of issues in a timely manner

Candidates should have the following:
* Product Control experience within an Investment Bank
* Flow Rates/Repo Product knowledge
* Appreciation of interaction with other functions in the front-to-back environment
* Experience of balance sheet substantiation
* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
