Product Controller - London - Banking - Contract

PRODUCT CONTROLLER - LONDON - BANKING - CONTRACT - £500 PER DAY

This is a brand new position based in an Investment Bank in London, the position exists within the London Fixed Income and Currencies (FIC) Rates Product Control team supporting Cross Currency Swap trading activity, traded out of London. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

- To provide an effective link between Front Office (FO), & Financial Control, bringing specialist product knowledge into the arena, so that any disagreements in daily P+L are resolved on a timely basis & ultimate P+L agreement with FO is achieved, evidenced & logged.
- Justification of P&L via daily risk-based decomposition, utilising the Greeks and new trade analysis
- Reconciliation of P&L to traders estimates
- To ensure integrity of the banks books & records, including reconciliation to banks ledger systems
- To ensure the Product Control team & stakeholders are immediately aware of revaluation issues that may affect downstream activity.
- Provide ad-hoc P&L cover for GBP Rates and HKD Swaps P&L production
- Percentage time split between legal entities - London Branch 80% & 20% Abroad.

KNOWLEDGE OF THE FOLLOWING ASSET CLASSES IS DESIRABLE:

- Single & Cross Currency Interest rate Swaps
- Exchange Traded Futures & Future Options
- Bonds/Repos
- FX Spots & Forwards

The ideal candidate will be a bright assured self starter with equally good technical and interpersonal skills. We are looking for somebody who is willing to learn (both business and technical), with the ability to take on additional responsibilities.
