Description
(EMEA) Middle Office seeks to provide a first-class support service with the aim of increasing focus on the relationship between trading risk positions and P&L components.

We are looking to recruit an individual to work in P&L group (8 associates) responsible for the daily P&L reporting for the Short Dated Exotics, Spot, EFX, Retail and Forwards desks within the Emea region.

The candidate will have considerable interaction with the Front Office and Sales team, and be expected to deliver accurate and timely daily P&Ls, provide sales team analysis, and resolve trader related queries as part of this role. Good communication and time management skills are an essential requirement for this job. Being a global business, communication is key having to deal with other regional MO areas as well as traders located in other regions.

The Middle Office is undergoing considerable change at the moment with key transitions and business initiatives targeted for this year. This will afford the successful candidate excellent career opportunities.
Products covered will be FX spot, FX forward, FX swaps, FX options, Vanilla IR Swaps, FRAs and futures.

Responsibilities
The P&L team perform the following functions:
* Compilation and reporting of the daily P&L for Emea GFX - desks include Short Dated Exotics, Spot, EFX, Retail and Forwards
* Provides analysis of P&L numbers in relation to trading P&L, risk positions and sales production credits
* Risk based explain and commentary
* Reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts.
* Reconciliation of sales credits between sales database, FO trading system and trader's estimates
* System maintenance
* Month end reconciliation processes
* Daily EOD rates grab process.
* Ability to deal with all Front Office queries relating to P&L and risk providing the required analysis/response with accuracy and in a timely manner
* Development and improvement of the existing processes
* Testing/UAT for new systems software releases and system migrations
* Dealing with other operational department queries relating to products/books covered
* Communication of issues to senior management
* Process review and development
* Production of timely and accurate KPIs

Requirements
* Product control experience - Good knowledge of a relevant product control/finance environment
* Experience of FX products, including a good understanding of the principles of valuation for these products.
* Good organisation and project management skills
* Good excel skills
* Demonstrates good communication skills
* Educated to degree level - preferably in a quantitative discipline
* Demonstration of ability to work in a high pressurised environment
* Self starter/self motivator
* Accounting qualification - preferable but not essential
* Migration experience
* Experience in BO/TS to provide bigger picture
* Experience in staff recruitment and staff development
