Product Assurance Engineer

Product Assurance Engineer required to Support the Development & Production Programmes by assuring activities comply with BMS process (business management system) requirements and contractual standards. Plan Quality assurance of the programme, identify risks and critical issues with mitigation solutions with the aim of preventing/minimising product non-conformance, supporting smooth programme delivery, assuring reliable products and increasing Customer satisfaction.

Typical activities will include:
Manage Customer Product Acceptances.
Manage Product Non Conformance. Facilitate implementation of Project non-conformance process. Support design and production defect investigations.
Provide Non-Conformance data analysis and summary reports into engineering/senior management and customer reviews.
Manage Customer Fault Reports for Project. Maintain regular dialogue with Customer to ensure timely closure of Fault Reports.
Review and maintain contractual quality documentation including Project Quality Plan. Support the Project team in developing any local processes.
Support the Project in implementing the processes for the overall management of the contract (in house and subcontracted).
Maintain Quality requirements for sub-contractors. Assure adequate surveillance planning and monitoring is undertaken.
Identify Project Quality risks and issues for both in house and sub-contracted activities relating to potential non-achievement of project milestones.
Undertake regular project assessments and report findings to project team(s).
The successful candidate will have the below skills:
Engineer with experience of quality management systems, techniques and processes.
Practical knowledge of non-conformance management process and SAP business tool.
HND level qualification with experience within Engineering or Quality Assurance.
Experience of working within project environment and able to operate effectively as part of project team.
Practitioner in of 8D, 5Y, RCA, PFMEA.
Candidates must be willing to undergo a security vetting procedure.
