Product Architect/Strategist Cloud Data Management (Hadoop/AWS/Azure)

Cloud Data Management SME required joining a major international organisation in the capacity of Product Architect/Strategist for Cloud Data Management.

Our client is a major multi-billion dollar organisation who are midway through their journey into Cloud. They have an internally built PaaS for both AWS and Azure and now designing their Cloud Data Management Architecture which is likely to focus on products such as Azure Data Services, Hadoop and HDInsight as well as AWS Aurora, DynamoDB, EMR and Redshift.

The successful candidate will work on product selection and product roadmapping for the Data Management product portfolio as well as Strategy & Architecture for Infrastructure Product Engineering, assisting in creating vision documents for where and how to evolve the overall product landscape. This will culminate in a vision and approach in terms of how to develop the current Data Management platforms into Public Cloud creating a hybrid setting. You will also ideally be able to advice on topics such as best practice in DevOps and Security from a Cloud Data Management perspective.

Requirements

- Expertise in Hadoop (HortonWorks) combined with specific Azure and/or AWS knowledge. Specific experience with Azure Data Services, HDInsight, and AWS EMR highly desirable.
- Higher education and multiple years of experience with a clear track-record in similar projects.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills in order to operate successfully in a complex Matrix environment.
- Good communication skills in English and very good collaboration skills.
- Able to act in the best interests of the client in a Trusted Advisor capacity.
