A leading space customer, located in Kruibeke, develops (sub)-systems for spacecraft applications, including both scientific experiments for research in space as well as complete satellite systems.
In order to support the rapid growth my customer is currently experiencing, they are looking to strengthen the team with a 'Product Assurance Engineer'.
Function
At project start-up, your initial focus will be the translation of the customers' product assurance, quality and safety requirements into a specific, pragmatic approach for the project.
Once a project is running, you will monitor the implementation of this approach during the different development phases (design, manufacturing, integration, test and delivery). Your tasks will include attendance of design reviews, performance of safety and reliability analysis (FMEA), non-conformance handling, hardware inspections, test witnessing
As product & quality assurance engineer of the project, you will also interface with the customer and provide him with regular reporting on the performed activities.
In addition to the above responsibilities at project level, you could also be assigned to company level improvement projects within our EN9100 Quality Management System.
Profile
We expect candidates to have a master degree in engineering. The ideal candidate would be an enthusiastic result-oriented and fast-learning team player with good communication skills at all levels. Fluency in English and Dutch is preferable.
A first experience in a related field would obviously be an asset, although specific coaching with regards to aerospace quality/safety/reliability requirements is foreseen.
