Procurement Support Analyst (SQL, Excel)

The analyst will work closely with direct management and sourcing managers to provide spend analytics, savings tracking, pipeline management, data management, commodity research, and various ad hoc reports. Perform data/SQL polls to support the Sourcers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Utilize and support internal database applications and analytical tools, evaluate data quality, and produce outputs as requested
Develop technical efficiency with spend analysis and visibility tools to create spend analyses
Determine baseline spend and calculate realized savings from sourcing events
Perform advanced analytics and support category leads on Sourcing initiatives
Conduct market and supplier research in support of sourcing strategies
Utilize SQL for data gathering and be able to communicate results
Coordinate the quarterly and annual savings tracking with internal team members
Create and present quarterly savings results to department leadership
Create/update periodic management reports focused on category savings tracking
Manage the annual project pipeline process
Create, update, and follow project workplans for associated projects
Prepare executive level presentations that drive decision- making in an easy to understand format
Will be performing spend analytics.
Will be consolidating savings data from 60 categories within the company.
Will be performing ad-hoc analysis.
Will be performing market research.

Strong communication and presentation skills
Writes in a clear, compelling and concise manner
Strong analytical abilities, including proficiency in Excel, Access, and other quantitative analysis tools, SQL knowledge preferred, but not required
Can manage multiple projects with differing deadlines
Big Data knowledge a plus.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field required
1 - 4 years experience in strategic sourcing or data analytics experience in related functions is preferred
