Procurement Strategy Implementation Lead, London

A Blue chip organisation that is going through a period of Transitionary change is looking to add a Procurement Strategy Implementation Lead to its team on an interim basis. The role will play a major part in defining the remit of Procurement in a £1.6b cost saving project and will lead a number of 'mini projects' within the main project itself.

The role will be responsible for:

. The delivery of an agreed output which effectively captures and articulates the results of the key strategy and research activities outlined above.
* Developing an integrated programme plan (and individual project plans, where required) incorporating key milestones, deliverables and related risk management
. Forming and managing a small governance team (comprising key stakeholders and any external providers) to drive the overall project and associated workstreams. Defining, and gaining agreement to, the high-level approach and plan
. Managing any related third party providers to deliver the final output against agreed milestones (eg: spend analytics). Engaging and managing (agreed) related key stakeholders within the trust
. Collaborating effectively with other workstream leads within the wider procurement development programme, especially those responsible for Key Supplier Management, Supply Chain, eProcurement, national non clinical/clinical categories etc.

The successful candidate will have experience of:

Procurement and Supply Management strategy, research and development. Opportunity assessment and development, and options appraisal and analysis. Stakeholder engagement and management especially at Board and Executive-level. Research projects especially within best practice procurement and supply management, especially those recognised as 'exemplars'. Senior practitioner experience preferably in relation to the development of spend analysis, categorisation, category strategy development in significant spend areas, at a national or international level. Managing and working with third parties in the delivery of programmes and projects. Building effective partnerships and key stakeholder groups in a complex commercial landscape and/or political environment. Delivery of objectives in time-bound, high profile projects
