Procurement Specialist Job

PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST is needed for a 12 month opportunity with Yoh's client located in Warrendale, PA.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- This role will be responsible for executing local operational and administrative purchasing procedures to meet the needs of the organization's business while insuring purchasing efficiency, quality, compliance and effectiveness.
- Specifically, the incumbent will source and execute Indirect Non-manufacturing purchasing commodities (eg Research & Development and Technology & Services) within the SAP system.
- This position will also support the education and communication of global and local Procurement policies, procedures and requirements to all applicable stakeholders.
- Efficiently and accurately manage daily execution of transactional purchasing activities within the SAP system including purchasing and order fulfillment management.
- Understand and fulfil the requirements of the customer, initiate local requests for proposals, quotes and information.
- Support other members of Site Procurement in the creation, review, and execution of contracts and orders within the SAP system for Indirect Non-manufacturing sourcing categories.
- Recommend improvements and optimize transactional purchasing activities.
- Support initiatives and target achievements for increasing automation in SAP, payment remittance efficiencies, and Working Capital impact.
- Understand and ensure compliance with all procedures, policies and directives within HealthCare and the procure-to-pay cycle
- Develop strong and productive relationships with key stakeholders to anticipate future procurement needs and ensure a partnering rapport.
- Manage and trouble-shoot daily issues regarding order processing, fulfillment, cost and quality, and forward when required to Procurement Technical Support Organization for technical problem resolution.
- Participate, support and represent Site Procurement as required on local sourcing projects.
- Manage the data gathering, testing and analysis for monthly or quarterly ICS Control testing, manage the timely completion of identified remediation activities, and support internal and external audits as needed.
