Procurement Specialist - EMEA Procurement Category Assistant
The procurement function is implementing a new way of working which will significantly simplify and change the way business users purchase goods and services.
The EMEA Procurement Category Support will take on a leading role in identifying and implementing content (suppliers, items) which will feed into the new tool, by working closely with the regional and local procurement category teams.
This large scale program will be rolled-out across EMEA during the next 12 months.
Accountabilities:
Executing activities towards the aligned project plan
Flagging activities that are on the critical path.
Leading and conducting workshop sessions to support content gathering.
Work with the category teams in capturing category guidance such as:
Suppliers to be used by the business
Define appropriate buying channel based on pricing agreements
Contact details related to those suppliers - Identify existing contracts
Capturing specific questions related to critical pieces of information a supplier would require in order to provide a quotation
Ensuring project management activities related to supplier engagement and change management.
Non Technical Skills and Additional Details
Performance Metrics:
On-time project tracking to agreed timelines
Adherence to content requirements
Timely flagging of issues in order to develop mitigation plans
Feedback from Category Teams and Project Implementation role Reports to Functional Sourcing Manager
Experience:
Project management skills
Can operate independently; demonstrates personal initiative
Exposure to large scale programs
Strong communication skills: can host calls, feels comfortable giving direction to the team speaks up when things are not going well.
Strong problem solving and analytical expertise
At least 3 years within Procurement: experience in managing suppliers knowledge of contracts and supplier agreements
Qualifications/Skills:
Education: A degree level or the equivalent through experience.
Language: English
There could be some travel involved
