Procurement Specialist

My client is a well known end user, located in North Ryde and in need of an experienced procurement specialists for their supply chain team. The purpose of this exciting new position is to drive commodity strategies to recommend suppliers, negotiate purchase price and value, and translate field subcontract requisitions into purchase orders.

Main Responsibilities:

- Providing pre and post booking cost savings
- Ensuring compliance with bidding and procurement policies
- Suggesting working capital improvements
- Being able to conduct value adding e-sourcing

What you will bring to the role:

- Proven experience providing costs savings in a similar role
- Strong communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders
- Experience working with an ERP procurement system, such as Oracle, SAP, etc.
- A highly motivated, proactive attitude
- A full understanding of the entire procurement process
- Willingness to identify and implement process improvements
