Procurement Specialist

A Pharmaceutical Client is looking for a Procurement specialist to work in the Procurement Team on one of the largest new build construction projects in the UK. The client is investing in a new site in Cambridge and will eventually close down their operations in their existing facility. The project is a £500 million new build project, this new facility will house Laboratories, offices etc. The role will initially be located out of the London office, until works at the Cambridge site begins. This project will begin as a 6-12 months freelance contract, however the client would like the Procurement Specialist to be there for the complete 4 years' duration of the project.

The Procurement Specialist will be providing bid process, bid analysis and bid awarding on behalf of the client with respect to awarding contracts for the investment in the new facility. Services will include construction and equipment purchases.

The ideal candidate will have experience in:

Setting out KPIs
Creating RFI/RFP
Creating and Managing Tender process
Being an integral part of the review and analysis of returned tenders, bid analysis
Awarding orders and dealing with the terms
Worked on Work breakdown structure (WBS) and cost breakdown structure (CBS)
Worked on packages ranging from £50k to £20m
Private sector Civil/Construction experience
