KEY TASKS AND DELIVERABLES         

- LE Commercial Induction training course - to include material and delivery of the training; knowledge transfer by training the 'trainers'.
- Candidate to have good training development background and ideally Governement commercial/procurement background.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

- 6 month post to develop and deliver an LE OC Commercial induction training programme for staff new to the function following the bulk recruitment of commercial in recent months.
- LE has a significant number of new starters in commercial (a mix of Band Ds and Cs - EO to SEO) and the training burden is too much for each of the individual teams to cope with. One team has 66% new starters.
- Training scope includes: the basics of what a contract is, how to minute a file, writing an amendment etc through to the bigger topics on IPR, pricing, KPIs and where to find out further info in defence sector.
- This OC wide training plan should get them all up and running quickly, but be transferable so that we can use again for further new arrivals.
- The first phase (circa 6 weeks) would be to scope the training required through consultation with the band Bs and other Operating Centre staff, the second phase (circa 6 weeks) would be to develop the actual training material and plan; and the last phase (circa 12 weeks) would be to deliver the training.
- As an overall output knowledge transfer is essential so that we can continue to conduct the training internally going forward.
