PROCUREMENT PURCHASER - READING - 12 MONTH CONTRACT

My client is a Global Automotive Organisation based in Reading and they require a Procurement Purchaser to join their busy team on an initial 12 month contract. The successful candidate will have experience in negotiating with suppliers and rationalising the supplier base. Working cohesively with the rest of the procurement division you will be engaging with senior level stakeholders and developing your ability to engage with high-ranking business executives.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

- Proven track record within procurement, exceptional strategic sourcing techniques and excellent SRM ability
- Ability to demonstrate where you have added value in previous procurement role(s) and show tangible results (ie impressive cost savings)
- Resilient character, energetic and proven track record of being a high-performer
- Working across the full procurement life cycle
- Engaging with stakeholder and developing the commercial relationship

KEY ATTRIBUTES:

- EXPERIENCE IN PREVIOUS (STRATEGIC) INDIRECT PROCUREMENT ROLE, IE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES, MARKETING PROCUREMENT, CORPORATE SERVICES, HR, TRAVEL, FLEET OR FACILITIES (FM), ETC.
- Desire to take ownership of categories, work autonomously, own supplier relationships and gradually assume a more senior role with people management
- Preferably strong cross-category knowledge, either within direct or indirect procurement, or both
