An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a high profile client, based in Bristol. The Procurement Lead will manage the tendering process with potential suppliers ensuring that the organisation adheres to the appropriate legal standards and best practices.
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with legal, legislative and Government purchasing requirements, including OJEU,
- Advises on policy and procedures covering identification of suppliers and issuing of tender documentation.
- Manages the tendering processes for IT Modernisation up to and including the evaluation and acceptance processes.
- Develops and maintains excellent relationships with suppliers and other stakeholders throughout the tendering processes.
- Uses knowledge of supplier markets to inform specifications.
Key Skills and Experiences:
- CIPS Foundation Level 4 (or equivalent working experience)
- Direct experience of managing the tendering process, preferably within the public sector
- Knowledge and understanding of national and international legal standards for purchasing
- Knowledge of current and emerging purchasing practices and communication technologies
Candidates will preferably have had experience of working within the public sector.
